On January 21 Laura Illeborg’s new album These Quarters is out. The album is recorded live in Sweet Silence Studios with her regular band through the last four years and three albums: renowned guitarist Knud Møller (Johnny Madsen), bass player and composer Niels Dahl (Vildnis) and guitarist Rune Funch (Lars H.U.G). And as hot news this time, drummer Jesper Elnegaard (Claus Hempler) has been invited to join Laura Illeborg’s poetical and melodious universe.
It’s that hand-made, half-acoustic, Nordic/Americana-inspired tone that is the legal tender here, along with Laura Illeborg’s original, poetic texts and natural, artless singing. The album passes through your ears and goes straight to your heart.

Laura Illeborg was born in Nørrebro, Copenhagen, in 1969. She has released seven albums in her own name: "Lyv Mig Natten Lys", "Sværger og Lover", "God Vagt", "Det Går Tit Godt", "Exitstrategi" and "Disse Kanter". Two with Channe Nussbaum, "Illeborg & Nussbaum" and "Månen Ligger På Gulvet", and the album "Hjertekamre" with Jens Lysdal.
She has also participated in many other musical events and publications. Her music has been used in several Danish movies. Laura Illeborg has received Thøger Olesen’s honorary award for Månen Ligger på Gulvet and has several times been nominated for DMA Folk.
