Songs from Home

“Fellowship” consists of the two award winning musicians: bass player Jesper Bodilsen and pianist Henrik Gunde. After having collaborated for a number of years they now present their new duo album “Songs from Home”. In these 9 beautifully melancholic songs they combine the danish folk song tradition with the complexity and improvising playfulness of jazz contesting the two musicians common love of the strong melody, the intimacy in the music and danish folklore. With Bodilsen and Gunde joining forces the sky is the limit and with their talents of capturing the moment the music gets an irresistible spirit. “Songs from Home” is a delicate, intimate and unpredictable experience reminiscing Jan Johanssons “Jazz på Svenska” as well as the beautiful collaboration between Charlie Haden and Keith Jarrett.
