Rued Langgaard: Selected Songs Vol. 1 & 2

Duo Asmussen/Tange has existed for over 20 years, with Langgaard's songs as focal point and shared passion. Through concerts and masterclasses the duo works to spread awareness of Langgaard's music and is involved in the annual Langgaard competition for conservatory students from all over Denmark.

Pianist Berit Johansen Tange has worked intensively with Rued Langgaard's music since 2001. She has made four albums of his solo piano works, as well as a complete recording of the works for violin and piano with violinist Gunvor Sihm. The recordings have received great reviews. Berit Johansen Tange has been a consultant on "Rued Langgaard Edition: Collected Songs" and co-publisher of "Collected Works for Piano" (Edition Wilhelm Hansen 2016 and 2018). She is employed as an accompanist and vocal coach at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.

Soprano Signe Asmusen Manuitt is one of the most sought-after and versatile singers of her generation. Her work with the lied genre earned her the Aksel Schiøtz Prize in 2009. She has performed as a soloist with Danish orchestras and recorded numerous CDs in collaboration with prominent chamber ensembles. Her tireless work with contemporary music was rewarded in 2014 with the Danish Composers' Society Musician's Prize. She received the Wilhelm Hansen Honorary Grant 2023.
