Gamle salmer - Nye tider

The album is a refreshing suggestion of how beautiful old hymns from the Danish hymn book can sound in an "updated version". The Danish hymnal contains a treasure trove of beautiful lyrics and melodies in many different genres. The intention of this recording is to express that variation, but at the same time put the hymns in a new frame. Ole Sloth has made arrangements for all 11 melodies, and composed new melodies for two of the hymns. A hymn has been given a new text, where Iben Krogsdal, based on the old text, has rewritten it in a more contemporary language. Some of the hymns have been recorded so that they are easy to learn and sing along to, others have a more artistic touch, among other things. inspired by "Jazz in Swedish", while some have a touch of classical hymn over them.
