This Boy

Nyborg resident Lars Nyborg will release his debut album This Boy on 18 September, which is a tour-de-sensitive in well-written and well-sounding pop music in a heartfelt and present expression with room for piano. The 11, melodic songs are written by Nyborg himself and finely cut by the experienced producer and drummer Jan Lysdahl. The music provides space for both energetic pop and quiet ballads, always with a small smile and a reflection within reach in lyrics that are, for example, about rediscovering one's inner carelessness from childhood, searching for what the soul is for a size, and the belief in, that the sun will shine again, even though it looks dark and hard. The journey is paved with doubt, love, longing, hope and a single messinging monk.
Musically, the inspiration is i.a. taken in 80s English pop music and by studio musicians on the album include Ghil Ben-David, who sings the child's voice on the title song, and saxophonist Jens Haack, who appears in a solo.
Lars Nyborg has previously played support for names such as Mathilde Falch and Dangers Of The Sea.
