Om udgivelsen
This is an intentional and honest vocal jazz album released with love for the playful nature of jazz music. The music is open and joyful in its swingful character. It is composed with the colors of Nature and imagination.
The first two compositions, Icicles and Winter Forest, are linked together in one long suite. They describe winter experiences in the Nordic nature and take the listener outdoors to experience “just being there”. It is quiet when you look out over a frozen lake, and if you allow yourself to slow down and take in the scenery, it is a place where you can connect and gather your energy. The third composition, Ancient Beauty, is about letting your imagination run wild and let yourself be overwhelmed - forget time and space. The last track of the album is the standard Bye Bye Blackbird in a refreshing tempo. The tune still feels calm because of the relaxed interplay between the well-playing upcoming Nordic jazz musicians.
