U7 on Time

The new album U7 On Time is a result of a long distance friendship and collaboration. The Danish pianist Jesper Hertz, the German bassist Nesin Howhannesijan and the Italian drummer Andrea Marcelli. After touring together, it was clear to us that they needed to record and release their music. The music is composed by pianist Jesper Hertz, and mainly based on thoughts and reactions on walking around in Berlin. The music is a perfect mixture of three musicians' creative contributions to the sound of three individuals becoming one artistic unit.

Jesper Hertz has composed music for several jazz projects besides film scores. He has toured all over Denmark and internationally, and has played with some of the most prominent Danish artists.

Nesin Howhannesijan is a busy jazz bassist in Berlin. He has released albums as a leader and played as a sideman on several projects.

Andrea Marcelli is a drummer constantly moving. He has lived in the USA for years and played with names like Wayne Shorter, Eddie Gomez, Bob Mintzer, Mike Stern, Alan Pasqua and others. Together Jesper Hertz Trio combines years of commitment and inspiration to a sound very much their own.
