Balancing Act
About the release
‘Balancing Act’ is the title of the new album from Danish band Vinyl Floor, which consists of brothers Thomas Charlie Pedersen & Daniel Pedersen.
The album, the sixth in the series, was recorded at Studio Möllan in Malmö, Sweden with Emil Isaksson behind the controls. Mix and master by Søren Vestergaard.
Vinyl Floor once again spices up their melodic and vintage-sounding rock with the use of strings, winds and the brothers’ characteristic vocal harmonies.
Thematically, the album revolves around issues such as powerlessness, envy but also about beauty, the divine and everything in between in a world that currently seems out of balance.
The album features guest appearances by Swedish Bebe Risenfors, who has previously worked with Tom Waits and Elvis Costello, as well as Christian Ellegaard from the Danish Symphony Orchestra.
The artwork is based on a painting by Swedish artist Kristina Jellstam and is composed by graphic artist Kristian Kokholm.
About the artist
Vinyl Floor, dannet i 2007 i København, er et melodisk rockband/duo bestående af brødrene Daniel Pedersen & Thomas Charlie Pedersen.
Bandet har spillet over 200 koncerter i både ind og udland, bl.a. en turné i Japan samt koncerter i Tyskland og England.
Musikalsk henter Vinyl Floor inspirationen fra 60’erne og 70’erne og krydrer musikken med elektroniske elementer samt gør brug af strygere og blæsere og brødrenes karakteristiske vokalharmonier. Nyt album ’Balancing Act’ i 2026.
